NEEDHAM, Mass., April 3, 2025 - Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel guidance platform, has been named as one of the first external data and intelligence partners for Microsoft Azure AI Agent Service. Tripadvisor’s one billion human-created reviews and contributions will be integrated with the data availability and AI capabilities of Azure AI Agent Service.

In February, Microsoft announced the public preview of Azure AI Agent Service in Azure AI Foundry to help customers build, deploy, and scale enterprise-grade AI agents, and this integration empowers developers to leverage Tripadvisor’s data to create innovative agents that enhance customer experiences. Tripadvisor’s unique collection of millions of vetted data points and reviews can be leveraged for use in multiple AI applications where reliable POI information is required. With updated information regarding accommodations, restaurants, experiences and more, Tripadvisor data makes it possible for Azure AI developers to provide trustworthy AI outputs. This new update also means Azure customers will have access to Tripadvisor-built AI services, like Review Summaries, alongside review data that can be displayed in their apps and product surfaces.

Enhancing Azure AI’s Ecosystem
The integration of Tripadvisor data further enriches Azure AI Foundry’s ecosystem of AI models and tools. Microsoft knowledge sources like Microsoft Bing, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Fabric, combined with more than 1,400 actions connectors with Azure Logic Apps and other custom tools, developers can more easily create AI agents that increase productivity and improve decision making. The addition of Tripadvisor streamlines access to proprietary data, providing businesses and developers with seamless, privacy-conscious integration.
The combination of Tripadvisor’s extensive portfolio of trustworthy travel-related data and Microsoft’s AI capabilities will transform the way that developers can bring valuable insights to end-users through innovative AI agents.
