TripAdvisor^®, the world’s largest travel platform, today announced the winners of its annual Travellers’ Choice^® Awards for Fine Dining Restaurants in Singapore and Asia. Based on a full year of TripAdvisor reviews, these restaurants were consistently given high ratings and praise by diners in Singapore and visitors across the globe.

This year, the awards recognise 394 fine dining restaurants globally, including 10 in Singapore and Asia respectively. Award winners were determined by factoring in the quantity and quality of reviews, gathered over a 12-month period. SKIRT in Sentosa has been awarded the top fine dining spot in Singapore this year. This year marks SKIRT’s debut on the Asia list, the only restaurant in Singapore to make it onto Asia’s Top 10. Other restaurants that were awarded the Travellers’ Choice^® Awards for Best Fine Dining Restaurants – Singapore include Alma by Juan Amador and JAAN by Kirk Westaway, ranked second and third respectively.

Fast Facts

• Cultural melting pot: Many restaurants in the top 10 list drew inspiration from European cuisines and a fusion of modern-European dishes with Asian influences. Other Asian influences from Chinese at Mitzo to Indian at The Song of India also made the list, proving Singaporeans enjoy a myriad of different tastes and experiences when it comes to fine dining.
• Singapore loves steak: Steakhouses were a hit with SKIRT topping the list and Lawry’s The Prime Rib also making it to the list.
• Fine dining housed in hotels: Many fine dining restaurants that made the list can be found nestled in hotels in Singapore.

Beijing’s TRB Hutong has topped the Asia list, with David’s Kitchen in Chiang Mai, Thailand and Indian Accent in New Delhi, India coming in second and third. In the global ranking, TRB Hutong  was also crowned the number one fine dining restaurant in the world, the first time a restaurant in Asia has received this honour.
