TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest travel site, today announced the 10 Best Value Hotels in Australia this spring, based on traveller reviews and TripAdvisor price comparison of 200 booking sites for the lowest seasonal hotel rates.
To qualify as a Best Value Hotel, a property must have at least 3.5 stars and four bubbles on TripAdvisor, offer seasonal nightly average rates that are at least 20 percent below the city average and cost less than AU$384 per night.
The average nightly rate of a Best Value Hotel in Australia this spring on TripAdvisor is AU$184 giving travellers the chance to save an average of 32 percent compared to the city’s seasonal average hotel price.
“We wanted to showcase a quality list of properties across the country that not only feature great amenities but are also attractive in price for the season,” said Janice Lee Fang, Communications Director of TripAdvisor, Asia Pacific. “Travellers who are after a local getaway should look at booking a stay at some of these properties to make their holiday budgets go further this spring.”

The Watermark Hotel & Spa is “located at the heart of Surfers Paradise”, making it easy to access the beach, shopping sites as well as the numerous dining options. Guests of the hotel can enjoy a day spa, two outdoor swimming pools, and retreat to modern designer rooms with ocean or hinterland views.
4.Adabco Boutique Hotel – Adelaide – TripAdvisor pricing from $168 per night this spring (24% savings, compared to the average city price in spring)
The hotel’s heritage-listed Venetian Gothic style façade masks a “contemporary and beautifully furnished” interior, offering guests a beautiful mix of old-world charm and modern décor. The boutique hotel is well-loved by guests for its communal kitchen, “good value continental breakfast” and quiet location.
5.Fountainside Hotel – Hobart – TripAdvisor pricing from $195 per night this spring (32% savings, compared to the average city price in spring)
