TripAdvisor®, the travel planning and booking site, today announced the Asian winners of its 2017 Travellers’ Choice™ awards for Hotels.
Hotel Vagabond, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel is ranked as the top hotel in Singapore, followed by AMOY by Far East Hospitality and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore.
At a regional level, the top three hotels for Asia are located in South East Asia – Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, in Ubud, Indonesia, is ranked #1 in Asia and #2 in the World, followed by boutique hotel Shinta Mani Resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia and Hanoi La Siesta Hotel & Spa in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Travellers’ Choice award winners were determined based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travellers worldwide. In the 15th year of the awards, TripAdvisor has highlighted the world’s top 7,607 properties in 109 countries and eight regions worldwide, in the categories of Top Hotels Overall, Luxury, Bargain, Small, Service, B&Bs and Inns, Romance and Family.
“Choosing the right hotel can sometimes be an arduous task for the one planning the holiday. Because TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice hotel winners are recognised for service, value and quality, travellers can be confident that they are booking a place that millions have stamped their approval on,” said Janice Lee Fang, TripAdvisor’s Communications Director, Asia Pacific. “Congratulations to the team at Hotel Vagabond on being Singapore’s top hotel – we aren’t short of great hospitality in Singapore so this win is truly worth celebrating.”
“We have endeavoured to make Hotel Vagabond reminiscent of hotels in the past – during a time when hotels were not simply places to spend a night, but an experience that left lifelong memories,” said Ms. Harpreet Bedi, General Manager, Hotel Vagabond. “We are happy and honoured that our guests recognise our efforts and have voted us as the #1 Top hotel in Singapore for the 2017 TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards.”

This exclusive retreat is “an incredible place thanks to the staff”. The hotel has 84 suites and villas scattered across the island, including romantic enclaves for honeymooners and spacious beach bungalows for families. This intimate island resort has only 30 villas, making it ideal for couples looking for a romantic hideaway. Described as the “best kept secret in Maldives”, the Kandolhu Maldives offers a full range of spa services, water sports activities and four restaurants that offer the finest local cuisine. The island is also home to one of the most colourful reefs in the Maldives, making it a favourite amongst divers.
With its glass pyramid exterior, the Hotel Eclat Beijing is hard to miss.
