New Winter Vacation Value Report Highlights: Most Booked Destinations for Winter, Average Hotel, Airfare and Tour Rates, and Cheapest Weeks to Visit

TripAdvisor®, the travel planning and booking site, today revealed its 2016 Winter Vacation Value Report, revealing the top 10 destinations for Australian travellers this winter based on booking interest, along with the average one-week holiday costs for hotels, airfare, meals and tours1.

The new seasonal report helps guide Aussie travellers in finding the best savings at popular travel destinations – both within Australia and across the globe – by highlighting the least expensive week to visit various destinations.

"Australians have so many options to escape the winter each year. Whilst destinations such as Port Douglas, Hamilton Island and Noosa are popular and affordable throughout the winter months, the report revealed that August is the least expensive time to book an overseas trip to places including Hawaii, Fiji and parts of Europe," said Joanne Kershaw, TripAdvisor spokesperson.
