TripAdvisor reveals when and where late-bookers will find the most availability for holiday rentals this summer

July, 2013 - TripAdvisor^®, the world’s largest travel site, uncovers where late-bookers will have the most luck this summer. In a study of popular summer holiday destinations*, TripAdvisor reveals when and where those travellers who are yet to book their getaway will find the most availability for holiday rentals** in July and August.

Top tips for late-bookers:

In many destinations – beach, city and domestic – the week of August 24^th is showing some of the highest availability for holiday rentals, which means Brits can still make the most of the summer bank holiday (August 26^th)

Beachgoers will generally benefit the most by booking as far ahead as possible, or having their bags packed and ready to go at the drop of a hat – holiday rental availability is highest in late August, as well as in imminent weeks (early and mid-July), in popular beach destinations.

Unlike beachgoers, city-breakers will not benefit from last-second booking as popular city destinations are generally showing low holiday rental availability in early and mid-July. Availability in these destinations is highest in late August, so city-breakers will have the greatest choice by booking as far out as possible this summer.

Staycationers should generally avoid the week of August 3^rd, which is showing the lowest holiday rental availability in many domestic destinations this summer.
