London; May 2, 2008 – TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel community, has announced the winners of its 2008 Travellers’ Choice Destinations Awards honouring the world’s top destinations based on the opinions of millions of travellers worldwide.
England’s spa resort town of Bath was the highest-ranking British destination, ranking 14th in the top 100 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice World Destinations and fourth in the list of the top 25 Traveller’s Choice Europe Destinations. Typical of the traveller reviews about the town, a TripAdvisor member says: “A wonderful place to visit—like a free open air museum. We also enjoyed some of the many quaint English pubs scattered around the city.
