Matt Goldberg

President & CEO

Matt Goldberg is President and CEO of Tripadvisor, Inc., the largest travel guidance platform in the world. Matt has more than 20 years’ leadership experience across a diversity of sectors, including travel, digital media, e-commerce, and data, where he’s helped drive innovation and expansion across various businesses. Previously, Matt was Executive Vice President, North America and Global Operations for The Trade Desk, a data-driven global media buying and advertising platform. Before joining The Trade Desk, Matt served as Global Head of M&A and Strategic Alliances and Head of India for News Corp, as well as Senior Vice President, Global Market Development and Head of Corporate Development for Qurate, formerly known as QVC. Prior to that, Matt was CEO of Lonely Planet, a travel guide publisher. Matt currently serves on the Board of Directors of Blue Ocean Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ: BOCNU), and is active in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership, including The Burning Man Project and Lumina Foundation. Matt was also the founding director of Dataphilanthropy, the foundation of The Trade Desk’s founder, dedicated to the mission that passionate, yet data-driven, rational philanthropy is the most effective way to deploy capital against humanity's toughest problems.

Matt holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University, a Master of Arts in International Studies from The University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Cornell University.

Matt’s favorite travel destination is Australia, a country where he also lived for six years. 

Michael Noonan

Chief Financial Officer

Mike Noonan is the Chief Financial Officer of Tripadvisor, where he leads global finance, including accounting, financial planning & analysis, investor relations, tax, and corporate development. Mike brings to Tripadvisor over 30 years of experience in capital markets, marketplace and digital subscription models and consumer-focused brands.  

Prior to Tripadvisor, Mike was the Chief Financial Officer of Noom, Inc., a consumer-focused digital health company. Prior to Noom, Mike served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Booking Holdings, Inc., where he led numerous corporate finance activities such as financial planning and capital budgeting, as well as investor relations. Mike’s experience also includes several capital markets roles at RBC Capital Markets, NYSE Euronex, J.P. Morgan, and Bear Stearns & Co.  

Michael holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Davidson College.

Seth Kalvert

Chief Legal Officer and Secretary

Seth Kalvert has responsibility for all of the legal activities of Tripadvisor, Inc. Prior to assuming his role as General Counsel in August 2011, Seth held various positions at Expedia, Inc., most recently as Vice President, Associate General Counsel since February 2006, where he had primary responsibility for the legal aspects of the company's mergers and acquisitions and other transactional work, along with the global Expedia brand, and managed a team that provided legal support for various Expedia brands, including Tripadvisor and Hotwire, in addition to privacy and trademarks across Expedia, Inc. Before joining Expedia, Seth held various legal positions at IAC/InterActiveCorp, which he joined in July 2001. Previously, Seth held a business development role at a privately-held online social networking and e-commerce company and practiced law in the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP. Seth holds an AB from Brown University and a JD from Columbia Law School.

Seth's favorite travel destination is Queenstown, New Zealand.

John Boris

Chief Marketing Officer

John leads Tripadvisor’s global marketing organization, inclusive of customer acquisition and engagement, performance and brand marketing, communications and industry affairs, marketing analytics, creative and design and marketing efficiency, brand reach and resonance, and partnerships.

Most recently, John served as Chief Growth Officer for Immutable, a leading blockchain company powering web3 games. Prior, he was CEO of IfOnly, a leading direct-to-consumer and B2B technical platform and marketplace for incredible events and experiences, which was acquired by Mastercard in late 2019. John brings 25 years of C-level marketing and management experience from leading consumer brands including Shutterfly where he served as Chief Marketing Officer, Lonely Planet, Zagat Survey, 1-800Flowers.com, FreshDirect and Radio City Music Hall/Madison Square Garden.

John holds a Masters in Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA from Middlebury College.

Sanjay Raman

Chief Product Officer

Sanjay Raman is the Chief Product Officer for the Tripadvisor Core business, responsible for product development serving both travelers and partners on the Tripadvisor website and app. Prior to his role at Tripadvisor, Sanjay was  Director of Product Management for Airbnb, where he led product and cross-functional teams to improve the quality of trips across the platform. Earlier in his tenure, he led the growth of Airbnb Plus, a premium traveler offering, where he was responsible for scaling the supply of Plus homes while creating a high-quality experience for guests.

Prior to Airbnb, Sanjay was Vice President of Product at Houzz, a leading online platform for home remodeling and design. While in the role, he built and scaled the highly successful Houzz Marketplace business, which continues to enable consumers and professionals to buy home goods through the company’s platform. 

Previously, at Greylock, Sanjay worked with and led investments in fast-growing consumer internet companies, with a focus on marketplaces and new media businesses. Earlier in his career, Sanjay co-founded and grew two successful companies and held product management roles at Google. 

He holds both Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

His favorite travel destination is the Lofoten Islands in Norway.

Kristen Dalton

Chief Operating Officer

Kristen Dalton is the Chief Operating Officer for the Tripadvisor Core business, responsible for strategy development and operational planning and execution. Prior to this role, Kristen Dalton served as Vice President of Finance for the Tripadvisor Group and interim head of the brand’s B2C business segment, leading the company’s guidance, experiences, flights, vacation rentals and direct-to-consumer revenue lines. In this role, Kristen led the strategic, financial and operational planning function for the entire Tripadvisor Group.

Prior to Tripadvisor, Kristen served as the Vice President of Finance & Strategy for Vistaprint, Inc., where she oversaw a global team providing leadership to strategy and internal communications teams and leading financial planning and analysis functions. Notably, Kristen led the work to better align product, marketing and technology and Vistaprint’s strategic planning processes to drive operational improvements to achieve important strategic outcomes. 

Previously, Kristen was Vice President of Strategy - International Life for Ace Group (now Chubb), a global leader in commercial and personal property and casualty (P&C) insurance. While at the Ace Group, Kristen drove the strategic planning process for a $1 billion global business unit and international life insurance portfolio, partnering with the C-suite and finance team to create a centralized strategic planning framework to unify individual regions following multiple acquisitions.  

Kristen also served in senior leadership roles for AXA, a multi-national insurance provider, Zurich Financial Services, a global life insurance provider, and Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, a leading investment bank.

Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University.

Her favorite travel destination is New York City.

Kate Forrestall

Chief Talent Officer

Kate Forrestall leads our global Talent teams, responsible for the people strategy across Tripadvisor Group. In this role, Kate oversees the company’s talent acquisition and employment brand, HR business partnerships, ED&I, and learning and development teams. Kate has been with Tripadvisor Group for nearly 15 years and has served in a variety of roles across the company’s Human Resources function, partnering with nearly every part of the global business and serving as the Chief People Officer for the company’s Viator brand. 

Prior to Tripadvisor, Kate was at the Museum of Science in Boston, one of the world’s largest science centers. While at the Museum, Kate led programs centered on building experiential educational opportunities in STEM, forging partnerships with universities, and creating science-based pathways for Boston-area youth. Kate has also worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) in educational program director roles. While at the BGCA, Kate’s remit included building educational programs.

Kate has also served on a number of nonprofit boards and tech advisory councils including, most recently, serving on the UP Education Network’s Technology Advisory Board. The UP Education Network is a school turnaround organization whose mission is to rapidly transform chronically underperforming district schools into extraordinary schools that sustain high achievement over time. 

Kate holds an Ed.M in Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Brandeis University.

Ben Drew

President, Viator

 

Ben leads Viator, a Tripadvisor company and the world’s largest tour and activity booking site. Under Ben’s leadership, Viator gives travelers access to incredible experiences around the world, and helps tour operators grow their audiences, bookings and businesses.

As head of Viator, Ben also oversees Bokun, the Iceland-based and globally-leading software company serving the tours, attractions and experiences industry. Bokun was acquired by and integrated into Tripadvisor in 2018 under Ben’s leadership.

Ben joined Tripadvisor as head of business development for vacation rentals in 2012, where he led significant inventory growth, and the acquisitions of vacation rental brands Niumba, VacationHomeRentals and HouseTrip. Prior to joining Tripadvisor, Ben led business development for emerging markets at Expedia, and worked as a strategy consultant at Deloitte. Ben holds a degree in economics from the University of Cambridge. 

Ben’s favorite travel destination is anywhere above 14,000 feet. 

Almir Ambeskovic

CEO, TheFork

Almir Ambeskovic is the CEO of TheFork. At this role he’s responsible for setting TheFork’s business strategy and leading global operations of the brand, inclusive of TheFork’s operations in 22 countries around the world, to continue the mission to bring happiness through amazing and accessible dining experiences. Prior to being appointed as CEO, Almir was Vice President Sales and Marketing for TheFork, a role in which he was responsible for the growth of the business after driving as Regional Director the leading markets of TheFork (Italy and France among others) for several years. He joined TheFork in 2014 as Italy Country Manager following the acquisition by Tripadvisor of RestOpolis, an online restaurants reservation startup he founded and led since 2011 in Milan. Almir began his career as a consultant and entrepreneur in the IT sector. First as start-up entrepreneur founding three companies, then as top manager of a digital scale-up as TheFork, Almir has always been active as a mentor for innovation in Italy. In 2012, Almir created and hosted the first Italian television program on start-ups and innovation. He was also vice president of the group of young entrepreneurs of Assolombarda for six years until 2016.  

Almir's favorite travel destination is Sicily, Italy (though for dining out he loves Rome, "the eternal city" and home of the delicious Carbonara).
